About Lokk Head

I'm Rebekah. Certified loctician. Former hairdresser. Someone who has been tangled up in dreadlocks since she was a teenager and never found a reason to leave.
I have spent years learning how hair works. Not just how it looks on the day, but how it lives, grows, and behaves over years. My hairdressing background means I understand the scalp beneath the lokks as much as the lokks themselves. My loctician certification gave formal language to what my hands already knew.
My studio is a private cottage in Newcastle. Crystals on the shelves. Soft light through old windows. Music that lets your mind go quiet. It is not a salon. It was never meant to be.
It is a space where people who have never quite belonged in conventional places come to have their hair treated like the statement it always was.
I work slowly. I work carefully. I do not rush the craft.
If you are ready to begin, or your lokks need someone who actually understands them, the door is open.

"I’ve had the honour of sitting in Rebekah’s chair more than once now - both for my own dreadlock maintenance and most recently, a permanent extensions attachent using a handcrafted Basilisk set. Every time, her work is pure craftsmanship: intentional, grounded, and filled with quiet magick.
Rebekah doesn’t just do dreadlocks - she weaves them, strand by strand, with reverence and skill. The space she holds is sacred and steady, and you feel it in every moment spent under her care.
As a fellow loctician with a long waitlist, I trust her wholeheartedly when referring my own clients to her. She’s reliable, deeply skilled, and honours each crown she touches.
If you're seeking someone who approaches dreadlock maintenance as a ritual, with both professionalism and soul, Rebekah from Lokk Head is the one.
Skal, sister of the craft!"
